It was announced recently that a school system was debating having IPads in each classroom instead of textbooks. That would be a good idea to save money on textbooks and it would help the school system's budget. But the other side of the coin in this situation is that students may walk out with them or try to take them off campus. So they would have to have alot of security issues. More than you would have if the classrooms were full of desktops. The college I attend the computers have a security block of certain sites. It sounds like a good idea on paper but the prevention of students trying to take them home would be a huge expense. Plus with sites like Quizlet they might be able to find answers to tests and what not so there is the fear of increasing cheating.
