Class of 2019: A Small Overview

*Please note that this may or may not offend some people. This is an overview of a small group of high school students, at one high school, and that high school is somewhere in the U.S.*

To my readers,

This is an overview from a conversation with someone I know that teaches high school students who will be graduating in 2019. I know how "precious" our future is to some people, but no one really pays attention to the whole picture. Google the instructor that got fired for not giving her students a "50", but gave them the grade they actually deserve.

Imagine as an instructor in this class of seniors that gets an answer like you are about to read"

"I gotta make that bread"
"We all gotta earn that bread"

So how would you react to this as the instructor?

Some of today's high school students are either highly stressed to pass a class, to the point where they email or ask their instructor 1,000 questions. Which the instructor does not mind asking the student's questions even though the student itself feels like they are bugging the instructor, which adds more stress to the student. Or the student does not care and starts class work but will not turn in the rest of the work for a class, but will not comprehend why they are not passing the class and they blame everything and anything but themselves. There are some students that think they can do enough to pass but not take into account that the work they do not turn in will hurt there grade.

How would you grade the following answer if you were the instructor:

"I do not care what I do in life, as long as I am happy".

It does not really answer the assignment but you also know that you are supposed to give "leniency". How much of that do you give before the instructor feels like they are "giving" grades because they do not want to be fired or reprimanded. It is actually hurting the students in the long run, because they feel they can go to college and just "walk through" without really learning anything. Then there are the question of where are the parents. It is about 50/50 whether or not the parents care about their kids future and education.

I am a member of generation x and this is what will be taking care of us one day.

Burning it down....

To my readers/followers,

2019 has started, and everyone has new year resolutions. Some that you actually accomplish, and some that burn up in your face. I am one of those people that carries emotional baggage and have done so for years. That is what the title of this blog means. The only goal I have this year is to finally let all that I have carried all these years go and it is just time to move on. You can only carry so much regret, anger, want for revenge, sadness, and anything else you can think of so long before you break. Which to be honest I have been "broken" for awhile. It has all been to life's little situations. People that cause you harm either leave your life because they choose to or you simply refused to let them go. I have had a lot of people walk out of my life with 0 reason and I have let it bother me. People who ever wronged me, well I hope they got what they deserved by now. I am a big believer in Karma, but sometimes I think she could even think outside of the box. But that is just me. I have spent years sorting out my demons but I think it is time to let them go. I know that not all of them will leave but that is just because of all of the "deadness" I have. I will always been the same person due to it, but I just want to feel a little free-er. I guess that is why I decided one day that I am not getting any younger and I need to fix things within myself.

So that is my only "self-help"  goal for 2019.....

I have about 12 other goals I want to do this year, but there is no way I will get them all done in 2019.

Until next blog....
