This blog involves my family who is after today I have decided is very fundamentalist creationist Christian. My family farms and was complaining that the weather had put them behind and my response was it was due to the destabilization in the weather due to Global Warming. To my surprise the response was Global warming does not exist so that must mean you are a democrat. My reply was I have no political ties, I am simply a realist. I asked if they had attended science classes, where I learned about global warming, evolution, etc. The reply from my family was that yes they did sit through science classes. So we were sitting around and the conversation started again about me believing in global warming. So my parents think they have failed in the way I was raised and that science is a "soothsayer". I wanted to jump up get on their computer and Google all of this knowledge that my family is blinding ignoring.
I used realist as a more protective way of saying atheist, but now that I know where in the Christian viewpoint they are at, I think its safer that I remain a closet atheist and just use realist for my own protection. I believe in science. I have sat through enough classes in school to have an understanding of what is going on in the world. I also sat through Biology and Anatomy classes so Evolution has been discussed in detail. Plus there are enough fossils in the world to prove how old the planet truly is.
It took an explorer crazy enough to prove that the world was not flat. We have enough evidence to prove global warming, evolution, and the age of our planet. "God's wraith" does not apply to the weather and what not. There are enough science/religious debates on the Internet. Human beings are the reason for global warming, human greed is the reason that politicians in power do not see what is truly going on, and a 2,000 year old book that was written by human beings should not be used to defend their opinions and make laws based on that.
Thank you Pat Robertson, John Hague, TBN and all the other supposed Christian rights for making my life more difficult. It hurt my feelings when family starts this we failed you in the way we raised you. They do not understand that even if I was raised fully in a church do they not think that I could still walk away from it.
Secularism is on the rise in this country. There are moments that I wish I could move to Sweden but it is just too cold.

China Bans Windows 8
It was announced last week that the Chinese government was banning Windows 8 from their computers. Now here is what is funny about that, they are doing it due to the recent end of service for Windows XP. The Chinese do not want to upgrade from some reason from what I had read it was not entirely clear why they made this decision. I guess they did not want to spend money on either buying new computers or upgrading their old ones.
One theory is with them refusing to upgrade and with the recent announcement of several members of their military being indicted for hacking into certain US industry computer systems. That if they remain with XP it makes it easier for them to hack into other systems.
But we will not know for sure why.

Memorial Day Vandalism
It was reported that in a local community some vandals once again hit the memorials for some of the wars. Why would someone do this, is my question? The commentator that was reporting this was saying how unamerican it was to vandalize a war memorial. The war memorials were spray painted with black spray paint. Maybe it was someone who was against war and past wars. Some claim it was just a bored teenager who wanted some attention. I figure it was a gang initiation. Maybe they will catch whomever did it.

Computer Blog #1
This is a picture of an HP Pavilion a305w tower that I am using as practice to take apart and put back together a computer tower. I am learning this at school this semester and I bought this tower to expand what I am learning. I am going to make this a series of blogs about me doing this tower.
The view you are seeing is what it looks like when you first open the case. As you can see from the above picture you can see everything that runs this tower, hardware wise. You can see the power supply in the upper left hand corner. Below that is the motherboard and the cooling fan. To the right of the motherboard, is the hard drive. Above the hard drive is the 3.5 floppy drive, and above the floppy drive is the cd or optic drive.
When I get a free moment I am going to blog about every part of this tower when I pull it out of its case.
So why I am going to do this series? Well alot of people do not have a clue what is inside of a computer tower. So this series will be informative for you my readers and it will be practice for me.

13 Days....
To my readers,
I am sorry that it might of seem like I feel off the face of the planet. I took a break from blogging, and I thought it was just a week turns out I have not written in 13 days. Time flies and I got busy with work and getting ready to go back to school. So I hope that everyone has not forgotten me.
So I am back....

TBN's "Last Will" Commercial
TBN or Trinity Broadcast Network has what I thought was going to be a decent commercial on their channel recently. My parents watch those channels all of the time. The commercial starts off by saying why you need a Last Will so when you die your estate can stay in your family and not be taken over by the government. I was like ok a nonreligious related commercial on TBN finally, but I was so wrong. Towards the end of the commercial the narrator says, when you do write your will make sure you donate part of your estate to TBN. I was so disgusted when that was said and they played that commercial at least 5 more times. It like most of the programming on those networks it simply disgusted me and it insulted me. I know that Christians donate money, homes, cars, and various other items to their church or house of worship when they die or there families do after someone dies. That to me is ok. After members of my family passed we donated stuff to real charities that can use the stuff like, Goodwill.
That commercial was just in really poor taste. I mean that network bleeds its members dry when they are alive but to promote donating to us when you die that is just wrong. I mean their are more important organizations that you can give to when you are alive and after you are dead. These organizations actually help people, like the American Cancer Society.

College Mergers: My Thoughts
In recent years colleges close to where I live are merging. Most are doing it to cut back costs and are supposed to bring more to the new areas where the schools are. The college I attend now is a prefect example of a technical college merger. They have been cutting costs, laying off employees, killing programs at the lower population campus, putting some better programs on the main campus (which is an hour away from where I live), and it just caused alot of confusion. My former program suffered from this confusion. My college has 4 campuses. The attendance at the campus I go to has dropped severely, mostly in part due to students who want the better programs are going to another campus or their entire program of study is online. Online classes are the major reason no one wants to attend a real class. Some classes are good online, but not everyone can do an online class without detailed instruction. Plus the teachers do not do their part to prevent cheating in their current class or any of their future classes. I had one online class where the teacher prevented anyone from cheating. Even though the tests were timed anyone has those few extra seconds to google a question and find the answer.
Another pair of technical colleges are supposed to merge this summer and two (two) year colleges merged last year. I hope things go better for them.

Blog #135
Greetings to my readers,
135 blogs later and this blog is still going strong. Thanks to all of you this blog is now at over 2400 page views. I hope that this continues. This blog post would of been up sooner, but I have debated the topic of this blog for the past few days, but thanks to this past weekend I decided what I was going to write about.
I have been in the hospitality business for many years and some of my past blogs talked about this topic. But after this past weekend where I work, I decided to write another topic on the subject. This past weekend some customers were just simply ridiculous. Their inconsideration got me to my blowing point and yes I did blow up, but not at the customer. I blew up in the back in the cooler and scared others I work with because they have never seen me this pissed off. To me the "customers" in my business have changed over the years and they have gotten worse and they all live in a "I want it now and fast" mentality. Where I used to work that was possible, but where I am currently working this does not apply. Since I have been working at my current job less the customer base seems to be getting worse and I have been in this business long enough and have seen the changes over the years. But I have no real outlet for my emotions and this has gotten worse here lately. And yes I have tried to ignore these people when they start. But I am back to that point and my body and spirit can not do this like I used to. This is why I have been in college to try and fix my life.
So my weekend began with a few future orders all at the same time and it was to the point where I had to call one of the customers back and tell them that their order would not be ready until 5:45 or closer to six due to the 3 other future orders that were due at the same time. I called the customer and apologized that his order would not be ready on time due to other big orders. His reply was, "THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE AND I NEED TO FIX THE ISSUE AND THAT HIS ORDER BETTER BE READY ON TIME..." I once again calmly explained to him that it was going to be later than 5:30 but let me see what I can do. Luckily his order was started and I went back to tell him that it was going to be about 5:40, his reply, "MY ORDER SHOULD OF COME FIRST, AND WHOEVER IS RUNNING THE PLACE SHOULD BE DOING BETTER....I SHOULD BE TREATED BETTER..." I apologized again and said his order would be ready in about 10 minutes, his reply "CLICK!". I went to the back and blew my top in the cooler. My day did not get better after that and I was hoping that the next two days would be better. Boy was I wrong.
The next day I was not at work 5 minutes before it started again, a customer arrived complaining that we change the rules on how we sell our product. She like so many of my constant complainers got a credit and out the door she went. A customer called later on and informed that I better have his order ready in 15 minutes not 20. I apologized and explained to him what was up and his reply was I want my order in 15 minutes and click. For the second day straight in the back blowing my top. The rest of the second day was filled with my usual constant complainers who know they will get free stuff no matter what. This fact is a major reason why I hate my job with a passion.
So day three comes and I am totally drained and in no mood for people's inconsideration. I actually thought it was going to be a good day, but once again I was wrong. A guy came in fussed about his order not looking right and I apologized for it and told him he would not even have to pay for it, if he just took his order no questions asked. He went to get his wife after that statement and she fussed about it too. He took it still fussing about it even though the guy DID NOT HAVE TO PAY FOR IT.
Statistically in the hospitality business every 1 out of 10 customers will not return if they have a bad experience. In my case this rule does not apply and they keep coming back and doing the same nasty habits over and over. My job is so scared of a recorded complaint that they want us to do anything possible to please this people and they are taking advantage of this, but you can not explain this to the higher ups. And I laugh at customers if they tell me that they are not ever coming back, and they start this for real we are not coming back crap but what happens the very next week, THEY COME BACK. Acting the same way they did before. This is the first time in awhile I have come so close as to telling a customer off and do it with a smile.
See why I feel like I am going to end up in an early grave.....

Europe Bans American Beef and Apples
It was recently announced that the European nations were going to start banning American meat and apples due to what they are calling "increased chances of cancer in Europeans". In other words our products are supposed causing cancer in Europeans. I can see the beef from all of the antibiotics that are used on cattle and other livestock in this country. But apples I mean come on just because they do not want to take a couple of minutes to wash off an apple before they eat it. I mean getting pesticides off an apple is easier than getting the antibiotics out of the livestock.
China has been sending stuff that is bad for everyone. As this post is being written we are being told not to buy certain kinds of toothpaste that is made in China due to something in it.

Fundraiser Debacle
A friend of mine works for a restaurant that claims it wants to help the community anyway it can through fundraisers and other means. As long as it means more business for the restaurant in question. So anyway my friend was telling me that this past Friday they were doing a fundraiser for one of the local school systems. I was like good about time someone tries to give back to the community. Well my friend told me recently that because they had raised more money for the school compared to that day's sales, the restaurant company is calling fowl. I was like WTF? The total according to my friend was like over $1,000 but because they missed sales the company is saying there is no way that much money can be raised. So according to my friend, the store manager has to go through all of the tickets that had anything to do with the fundraiser and do a total recount and turn that in. So my fellow readers that means the school is about to be screwed out of some money due to corporate greed. I told my friend that the restaurant in question should not even do fundraisers if that means they are going to screw them out of their money. Think about what the money could of done for the school system. This could of happened anywhere. If companies are so much more worried about their bottom line then why do things like a fundraiser to begin with. I understand that it is supposed to bring in new business but after all the hard work at the end of the day why screw an elementary school out of what could of helped some kids or saved some teachers their own money.
Good old corporate (and greedy) America.

Google Plus Dead?
It was announced this week that Google Plus may be dead or dying and it might be headed out of our lives. I agree with alot of people that are saying good riddance. Yes I agree that Google made alot of mistakes with it. The biggest one of them all was forcing it down our throats and making us sign up for something we did not want or need. Alot of my friends and I gave it the old gung ho but none of us liked it. So how many dummy accounts were created or like I did just created due to being forced. Mine was created due to being forced when they did all of the changes to YouTube and the comment system. I never wanted to really comment on any videos I just watched them for the entertainment value.
So why did not Google learn from other failed sites like MySpace. I was on that site too back in the early days and I liked it the way it was, but they went to changing it and forcing changes on their members and now it is a ghost town that is trying to make a comeback, but I personally from what I have seen of its new format it still sucks. Now if Google had not forced it on us and actually gave us a chance to explore it, then they might of had something.
I wish companies would learn if it is not broke do not try to fix. Everything I used to enjoy in the early days of the Internet are gone. And everything I currently enjoy keeps getting changed over and over. I, like many of you, get tired of it.

Selfies
A quick side note before I begin this blog selfie and twerking are not, to me, real words and how they became the words of 2013, I will never understand.
A selfie is a photograph that one has taken of oneself, typically one taken with a smartphone or webcam and uploaded to a social media website.
So by now you, the reader, are probably wondering why I am talking about selfies. I do not even like having my picture taken.
Well it was recently reported that people who have been taking alot of selfies of themselves, over time will become self conscious of themselves. As a result this has lead to either people being really unhappy with themselves or they have been running to a plastic surgeon. It was reported that statistically that people who take more selfies of themselves over time will eventually go see a plastic surgeon, because they do not want their looks to fade.
It was also reported that people who take alot of selfies and do not have a high self esteem will do one of two things. If people boost their self esteem by complimenting their pics it is supposed to help, but on the other side of the coin if they are bullied and the bad comments come then those same people are likely to take drastic measures.
I am one of those people that has no ego to feed as the saying goes. I have no self esteem to boost because it is pretty much dead. So I do not take pics of myself.

Blog #130
Thank you all for the continuing support of this blog without any of you, the readers, I would not still be doing this blog. I also want to thank everyone who has helped make it blow up like it has. 130 blog posts later and this blog is still growing by leaps and bounds.
I am not perfect. I am a mediocre blogger who was lucky enough to have great facebook friends who by allowing me to tag them is what helped this blog grow. I am also on Twitter, but I use that account to mainly promote my blog and that is about it. I am very lucky to have at least one project grow.
I have been back on a downer lately. My job environment has been treating me like a second hand citizen. The people I deal with suffer from a horrible attitude and think they can get away with being a cretin. Sometimes it is the people I have to deal with and sometimes it is the co-workers themselves. For example this past weekend I had a 65 year old lady raise all kind of Hell at me for no reason what so ever besides she felt "entitled" and she wanted to cause a scene. I also had someone act a fool and try to claim something that I know there is no way in the quick time period could ever happen. But alas I work for a company where if the customer complains they always side with the customer. So we have to do whatever it takes to keep the customer from complaining. I recently had and still have been dealing with a lady who barely pinched her finger with a chair. She is making a big to do over nothing, she was not in pain and she kept eating, and she was a big to do Christian. This does not help my opinion of the "human condition".
The past 11 years have not been the best in the world for me and it shows and it never stops showing. I can no longer wear a "social mask", that has become unbearable. So I simply leave it at home. It is hard to rebuild your life when people and things keep dragging you down. After awhile you forget what it is like to be happy and you are left with being melancholy and suffer from anger management issues. So you add me being antisocial and an introvert and that leads to a train wreck waiting to happen. I dread leaving the house even when I do not have to work. I am hoping that when school starts soon then maybe things will get better.
I have tried to change my outlook on life, but like I said in a previous blog every time I try something new or different something always happens and I am back to square one.

Why I Do Not Blog about Politics.
I mentioned in a recent post that I would share why I do not write about politics in my blogs unless it is something that has to do with my current college major or my former one.
Growing up I believed in Republican ideals. I grew up during the Reagan-omic period and so I agreed with what they were saying at them time, that and most of my family was Republican. But after the Reagan era ended and even though most people want to blame the Reagan era for the start of the downfall of our country, I disagree. After studying political science in college and taking two economics classes, all of this was a real eye opener to me and that is why I never voted in an election and I no longer believe in the political structure in this country. Plus after NAFTA cost me a really great job and it cost my community alot of great jobs. NAFTA and a few other trade laws basically almost killed the community I live in. Plus my local level government has not helped out either.
So I do not see the point on mentioning political issues in my blogs. We all know that we live in a corporately run country, that alot of the politicians claim they make Christian decisions that effect us all.
I simply no longer believe in the political process, just like I do not believe in Christian ideology.

Being a Social Outcast
I have always been that weird misunderstood kid growing up. I grew up being an outsider. I have always been introverted. People always tell me I need to do things that would "get me out of my shell". But between being bullied and "being the quiet, smart, kid. Every time I tried to come "out of my shell" something always happened and I ran back to where I was "in my shell" except each time I got sent packing back into my shell, the walls grew higher and my anti social behavior started. Me being anti social and becoming an outcast or the nerd as it was so nicely put started due to me being bullied and being turned away by people and family. I thought it would get better once I got my first job, but once I started learning about the "human condition", I at times did not want to be in the world anymore. My visits to the comic book shops was a start in the positive direction until all of that turned its back on me. I found some peace in my local music store and the music I was listening to at that time. Once I got to college and begged my parents to stay at the dorms, my social skills got a little better, I found some friends and became a Christian, and I also learned about being internet savvy and being in chat rooms. But once I got out of college and back to my old routines and started going to a normal church and dating what was supposed to be a "Christian woman", that situation ran me back into my shell and seeing what turned out not to be a decent church body. After that I went to 3 other churches and I could not find another christian home. So I became an "at home" Christian and then I became an agnostic and then an Atheist. When I was married to what was supposed to be another Christain woman after that is when I became an Agnostic, I no longer believed in the church body but I did still believe in God. But as I said every time I tried coming out of my shell, things made me run back into my shell but the walls grew higher and the "shell" became an overly secure fort that I hardly let no one in.
So now at 37 years old, my introverted, anti social behavior, has gotten worse sometimes at the point of social anxiety. There are no like minded people in my community. Once I leave the house I have to put on my "mask" and there are some days I do not even put it on. My current working environment does not help matters. People's attitudes are getting worse and they all think they are "entitled" . I have become such an outcast in my own community when I am at places like Walmart I always get a weird look. It does not bother me.
This is why I have more online friends compared to "real life" friends. My online friends are more accepting of me. Even though most of them have never met me in person.
