Suicide

To my readers,

Tonight's blog is a little bit of a touchy subject but I promised a friend of mine that I would talk about this when I was still doing videos and never did. But since on my favorite YouTube channels they were all talking about the passing of a You Tuber named "JewWario".  This You Tuber apparently had taken his own life for whatever reason and it shocked many of the YouTube community. Then I remembered I had promised a friend of mine I would talk about this. So now I am keeping my promise.

My friend in question who requested I talked about this has tried several times to take there own life. They have been to different forms of help and has been put on many different medications. This friend has alot of triggers that they are discovering that has alot to do with it. Plus there environment has not helped there situation either. I thought after the last attempt that she might finally get the help they deserve but like so many people with mental health issues the insurance is only going to cover a very short stay at some treatment facilities. And alot of the long term care places want money upfront and insurance is supposed to cover the difference.

I think our society has pretty much forgotten our mentally ill until something happens. A shooting or some form of murder gets committed, or they do a witnessed suicide, or in some instances they commit a crime and then a "police suicide" occurs. Our society's new answer for the mentally ill is just give them a pill and it will all go away. But here is a comment to that if there illness is bad enough and they can not hold a job how in the hell are they going to pay for there medicines. That is my friend's biggest issue is how to get the medicines they need. Most medical doctors are not really sure how to treat mental illness they do the best they can and as a result the doctor sees the same patient and has to change their medicines. Some mental health professionals do the same thing see the patient over and over but all they do is change their medicines and just listen to the patient talk about their symptoms. Most of these patients give up and want to just end it all because they feel no one cares and that feeling grows and if they are schizophrenic the voices in their head gets louder and louder until the patient totally gives up.

Our troops are another example so many are coming home with PTSD Post-traumatic Stress Disorder. The VA does the same thing as a regular medical doctor or mental health place. Our society has no real concern about it until something happens. The VA will not add more benefits to get them the help they need. And like regular mental health paitents. They feel like no one cares and the voices get louder or the flashbacks get worse and then something happens.

Our society has become a give them a pill to ease the situation or we just want to sweep it under the rug and ignore it and prey it does not get worse.

If you or someone you know feels alone or needs some form of help for their mental health or thinks things are so bad that they do not belong in this world anymore:
